Ed Nystrom

Ed started in his family’s construction business, moved from general contracting into restaurants and high-end retail, then found his sweet spot in hospitality—first as a contractor, then on the owner’s side with exclusive golf resorts and national hotel portfolios. At Driftwood Hospitality Management he built and led a design, construction and project management team that delivered fast-track renovations and new builds across Hilton, Marriott and other major brands, growing the team from an "army of one" to nearly 15. His client-first, guest-aligned mindset and deep vendor relationships now shape InScope’s project delivery: line-item PIP estimation, transparent FF&E/OS&E purchasing and end-to-end execution that keeps owners on time, on budget and ahead of brand standards.

Ben Nicholas

Ben is a design and product executive with more than 24 years innovating across hospitality interiors, furniture, architectural products and digital platforms. For the last decade he has led product strategy, design and commercialization end to end — from concept and identification through launch — most recently as Head of AI Design at Tanyx AI and as EVP, Product and Design at Inhabitr. Earlier he served as Chief Brand and Design Officer at Design Environments and as Senior Principal and Principal at The Gettys Group, shaping hotel brand and interior programs for owners and operators nationwide. Based in Chicago, he now leads AI design at InScope, connecting AI-powered design and specification directly to estimation, sourcing and execution so owners get concepts that are beautiful, brand-compliant and buildable to budget.

Head of Integer Purchasing

Lori Hoffman

Lori is Head of Integer Purchasing at InScope, leading FF&E, OS&E and capital goods sourcing on the integerpurchasing.ai transparent purchasing platform. She previously served as Director of Procurement at Driftwood Hospitality Management and built her procurement foundation at Claire’s Stores, where she rose to handle all purchasing for 2,000+ stores and helped buy out and build more than 3,400 stores across 37 countries over 17 years. Her hospitality start came as a project coordinator on the remodel and restoration of a historic Miami Beach hotel, giving her a rare blend of retail scale, construction coordination and owner-side purchasing discipline.

David Buddemeyer

David cofounded Driftwood Hospitality Management and previously served as Principal and President of Hospitality Project Advisors and Driftwood Hospitality Management, and as a senior officer of Driftwood Capital. Over his career he has transacted more than 100 hotels and delivered over $1B in hospitality projects, leading the financial turnaround and large-scale transformation of multidimensional hotel companies. As Chairman and CEO of NYSE-listed Servico Hotels and Resorts, he grew the portfolio from 28 to 140 hotels and lifted sales from $42M to $650M while increasing EBITDA from $16M to $280M. After Servico merged into a 180-hotel, 30,000-room platform, he launched Driftwood to bring that same turnaround discipline to owner-operators across major brands. As an Advisor to InScope, he advises on capital strategy, portfolio repositioning and the execution of complex, brand-scale hotel transformations.
